The Cost of shipping is going to exist for any place you buy from, even if you get free ones for postage. A medium flat rate box costs $13.45 right now. Consider Digging the irises, cleaning them, dipping them drying them, packing them, and then driving to the post office to ship them. Also they would probably include some extras as well. I think it's a bargain.
Going to my local iris club sale, an hours drive away, to buy rhizomes at a minimum of $5. each is not cheaper.
Of course one can always go to the box store and buy some dried up nearly dead rhizomes that will all turn out to be Immortality and not what's on the picture on the box if they live. Smiling
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.
