It may be a case of which came first...the bronchitis or the treatment.
Acute "pneumonia" from a chemical acts like bronchitis.
I knew many many MANY people that had a Vicks habit.
One was a colleague who told me she absolutely could not do without it.
I liked it too but never had that much exposure to it except the rare cold ..I just did not get viruses like my siblings.
Well, anyway, it is water soluble now.
I never had the pleasure of trying. Nyquil..can't take antihistamine. But I bet Benadryl is cheaper. ..then when we scale up to the OTC weight loss pills ..that antihistamine REALLY gets expensive, the charge seems to be reflected by what the medication is marketed as but it is frequently the same active ingredient. I met a 30 ish gal once -- had terrible pulmonary hypertension..docs were really perplexed..turns out she was using a sleep aid, taking OTC antihistamine for her significant seasonal allergies and an OTC preparation to help her lose weight/ suppress appetite. All that antihistamine created havoc with her pulmonary vasculature.
