I'm thinking Lindsey, Patty and Elaine may add to this thread. The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota is a treasure. Here are a few pics from my last visit:

This is the Bromeliad I took a photo of so I could look for it at Tropiflora. It's called Aechmea chantinii 'Samurai'

A very slow grower from Afganistan, the Nannorrhops ritchieana or Mazari palm is a very slow grower. This is the largest one I have seen.
