Background history:

'Calico Spider' is a evergreen diploid introduced in 1987 by Crandall. No further information is known about this hybridizer except that there are 5 cultivars registered by this hybridizer.

Calico Spider is mid-season extended bloomer. It has earned the Honorable Mention: 2011 AHS award. It is listed as pod fertile with 5 registered children: http://garden.org/plants/paren...
