It seems to be off and on here; most of the tropical plants at Home Depot, Walmart and Lowes come from plant nurseries in South Florida and I'll see particular plants (like the F. Lyrata) in the garden centers for a year or so and then a few years will go by and no one will have that particular plant. I guess the nurseries decide what they think is going to be popular and grow thousands of them for a couple of years and then change to something different.
