Posted at the dwarf thread and thought I'd quickly post here. Thanks to previous posts, this year I tried Country Taste. It is very nicely named. My first tomato from the plant was a whopping 1 pound 5 ounces and beautifully formed. I honestly don't like tomatoes that large, but for chopping into salsa, they would be very nice. (When I begin cutting a tomato, I want to eat the whole thing, I don't like fresh garden tomatoes that well after they have been refrigerated.) It doesn't appear that the rest of the tomatoes on the plant will be that large. The second harvest was a pound. Excellent flavor and texture in my mouth. I think I would grow 1 or 2 of these plants every year. Perhaps they will become more popular in the garden centers here so that I could buy a plant or two instead of having to start from seeds. Which starting from seeds is okay, if the seeds would be good for 4 or 5 years.
