I used to dread winter coming, but the last couple of years I've almost looked forward to the end of the growing season. We've had unusually wet summers the last 2 years and the rapid plant growth gets overwhelming for me at the end of summer, it feels like I could wake up one morning to find the house and vehicles completely obscured by growth! I think as I get older it feels like both the garden and my body would use a break.
