It's gorgeous, Amy. I agree with Hetty and Tara, it's a Rainbow Ginger. Most gingers like heat, bright shade or direct sun only in the early morning, lots and lots of water, fertilizer and I'd highly recommend you give it a bigger pot. Maybe twice the size that it's in now.

Where are you located? If you can keep it warm through the winter, it will come back and bloom for you for years to come. (you can put your location into your profile so that it will appear in all your posts, btw)
