Or just a cool, dark place somewhere will be fine. I would have just moved them to where you want them as they were dug up.

The bulbs are dormant now and would be underground in the summer heat if you had left them where they were, warm, and even sometimes wet. So they really don't need to be in the fridge. Just be sure to plant them in the fall, and they will get the winter chill they need naturally.
