I love "national eat more herb and less salt day" (although I had no idea such a thing existed) Hilarious!

We cannot get enough fresh herbs in the summer. Although there are only 3 in our household, I grow about 10 - 12 basil, 10 parsley, a couple of lemon verbena, and single plants of things like sage, marjoram, oregano, etc.

How can you possibly eat fresh tomatoes from the garden without basil from the garden? I already have made 3 batches of pesto for the freezer. We like to use it as a base for our pizza, instead of red sauce, with fresh tomatoes and some cheese.
