Rose1656 said:Four hours of sun shouldn't hurt the majority of hosta. I have one bed that gets sun until about 1:00 and, if watered, they are doing just fine. I think you also get better blooms if they get some sun. I think the really hot afternoon sun is hard on them, but if you keep them watered they will still do okay. Glad you were able to take the plant back. You'll love Earth Angel!

I'm a little bit worried because this particular spot Gets sun from 10:30 to 2:30.

These August days are so darn hot for newly planted ANYTHING. I may put a milk crate or clothes basket over them to shield them for the next five weeks until temps cool off.

I planted two DIANA in that location.

I planted another 2 Diana in a location that is full shade except sun from 2:30pm to 4:00pm
And then another location that is full shade except sun from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Fingers crossed. I'll water them every morning and night.

My Liberty will receive sprinkled shade from 10:30 to 11:30 and direct sun from 11:30am to 12:30pm then solid shade until dusk.

hoping it works! Thumbs up
