Hello,

My name is Johnathan Hampton and I want to know if there are any good alternatives for "Knockout' Roses. I have one that's planted in a tight spot in my flowerbed (in between a wall and a sidewalk) that's unfortunately infected with Rose Rosette Disease. My mother wants to dig up the entire bush, getting up as many roots as possible, and plant a new one. Is this safe to do?
As for alternatives, I need something that won't exceed 6ft in height and width (and if it does, I need something that will be able to take some seasonal pruning), has a decent bloom period, and is tough and relatively low maintenance. I live in zone 7b. I hope you can help!

Thanks,

Johnathan Hampton
