I have grown these from seed in my greenhouse. I bought the seeds however. I started them in February in a nursery tray filled with seed starter mix, covered with a plastic dome, heat mat at about 68. Takes a few weeks to germinate and sporadic germination. For me this is a 2 year process to get any size on the plant, longer to get blooms. I have one left that I will get a picture of, this is in it's second year. You may want to wrap the seeds in a damp paper towel moistened with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the water. fold the seed up in the paper towel and slide into a zip lock bag. check for germination every few days. I do that with cannas.
