So I put a few pics up on the butterfly board of these the other day. Brought the Monarch cats inside to give them a better chance at survival. Decided to keep them inside after all. They're in my bedroom where the kitty cant get at them. Today's count is 17-from teeny tiny and a few unhatched eggs on the swamp milkweed to fully grown ready to pupate monsters that eat and poop A LOT.

"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird — equal seekers of sweetness. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished." — Mary Oliver, from Messenger
