Even I would agree that "they are out of their collective minds." I hate to floss, have always hated to floss... and yet... about a year ago the dentist stuck the probe thing into my gums and said they weren't looking too good, and mentioned the possibility of "deep cleaning." So, finally forced myself to get serious about flossing and using Listerine, and a few months ago had the best checkup I can remember having in a long time. I've been very fortunate to have few problems with my teeth despite the lack of flossing, brush several times a day, etc., but really would like to keep my mouth healthy as long as possible. Flossing seems like a small price to pay for that purpose -- and costs essentially nothing except a few minutes of time.
