Thanks for your input Jeanie! Actually, (and I apologise because I didn't say this in the first post) I have posted 3 pics for each "species". In other words, all the pics in this post are of plants in the same clump so most likely they are the same species. The only doubt I have about flexicaulis is that the close-ups of leaves show that they are extremely toothed....the ones here are not quite as pronounced but maybe there is regional variation? I don't know. Also, in one description it said S. flexicaulis grows to 3'....these were closer to 5.
