I have a couple plants in my gardens and they bloom in mid May and are finished by end of may
Too dark out to check to see if my pods have turned black yet .

The stem on your black pods are green , if left to overwinter the stems turn brown and brittle.

I do not think baptisia take any special care . I have 6 in the gardens I tend and do nothing special for them .

Good luck catching the blooms next year Thumbs up
