That is simply not true. I have dozens of plants now and have had dozens over the past 40 + years of gardenting that DO in fact get burnt from watering and then the sun blasts them.

I do agree that one should avoid getting wayer on the leaves that are hairy or fuzzy.

And yes - watering at night leads to numerous mold and fungal problems.
