I have overwintered pots in KY and my advice is to keep them on the ground, not on a deck or anything higher. I keep mine under the raised playhouse protected from the worst of the rain and snow. If you have them above like on a deck, they do not survive. I pot for our iris show rhizome sale. Next year we will host the region 7 so I think we will still need to sell pots.
