I am with Baja. I love recycling, but definitely would NOT use clear plastic for potting. Roots like darkness (that is why they are underground!) and the plants will eventually suffer from the roots light exposure. The only plants I am familiar with that like light on the roots are orchids and I have read you can use clear plastic for them.
