Why do my Hosta want to turn green?

It's pretty as long as it's just a few leaves. Do I need to put acidic fertilizer in the soil to keep them the right color?

A lot of the variegated hostas are not stable and will revert back, best thing to do is to separate the green portion from the variegated.
As Yogi Berra said, “It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future.”
