Veganism is hard. I'm not a vegan, but have some vegan friends. Even simple stuff, that you wouldn't think you would need to worry about. Some jellies and jams aren't made with fruit pectin, but with rendered animal byproduct. A lot of foods that are infused with B vitamins, especially B12 and B6 are produced from animal products, rather than "naturally" added by using vegetables. I have even seen store-bought cakes with fish oil in them. Once you start reading ingredients, it will blow your mind what is in our food.
