I fertilize again in the beginning of Sept. if most 100 degree days are over. The daylilies have not bloomed for me in the fall. The heat wears them out. I fertilize once or twice in the spring. Just before they ended their first round of blooms, I fertilized again this year. It was cool and rainy and the blooms were a month ahead of time. I had alot of rebloom this summer for the first time. I have in the past fed my alfalfa tea every two weeks all spring, summer, and fall. That was to not overburden the plants with strong fertilizer, but to help them to make it through the heat. Our average winter temp is 50. Which means you get a couple of 70 degree days followed by a couple of 30 degree days. Fine line that some plants need to eat, but you do not want everything trying to break dormancy in a warm spell. May everyone be blessed with kindness!
One to take to heart....1 John 4 ..............................................Where there is smoke...there is fire...in most cases the smoke will kill you long before the fire consumes you. Beware of smoke screens! Freedom is not free and when those who have not paid the price or made the sacrifice...think that only they are right and entitled to speak...they bring us tryanny.
