I will usually spread Milorganite around in October and give them all a shot of Miracle Grow around this same time. Then my wife thinks I am crazy, but in February or March (because we still have snow cover) I will toss some 10-10-10 on all of the beds. The snow melt helps dissolve the fertilizer. I can also see where I spread it. When Spring rolls around, the daylilies seem to jump out of the ground.
