Lewis,
Welcome to our website! It's a great place to learn things and see beautiful pictures of flowers. Pulmonaria is quite common as a garden plant in the US. Many of our favorite plants come from all over the world as people move around and bring a bit of home with them or see something beautiful and just have to have it. There is a growing movement to return to "native" plants with many gardeners, but honestly, so many plants are integrated into our cultivated and wild landscape that it's kind of hard to even know what is truly "native" anymore. It can be a bit of a challenge to determine which plants, that are lovely in their native habitat, occasionally end up being invasive and a threat to the native plants in a new location. By the time a problem is known, it's frequently too late to put that cat back in the bag, so to speak.
