lilpod13 said:I'm fairly new to the board, but a couple of comments: photos like of Stan Coates (one of the early responders) don't reflect the shiny, luminescence of the blooms similar to the luminatas. Fortunately, I was told ahead of our visit to Napa Country Iris to look for Stan Coates and it definitely didn't disappoint. I found absolute treasure to be another pale blue (Tasco) that was gorgeous and for us we had particular amazement with an oldie, but goodie in our first year of Afternoon Delight (sent by Schreiners) when out of one rhizome we got 5 bloom spikes. I don't know how unusual this is since we live in a rather shady location and don't have the success rate many of you experience, but typically when we get a rhizome to set bloom it's only 1 spike per rhizome (for the new rhizomes).
And another first year rhizome was also very showy and bloomed for a long time (Undercurrent).
