I hope someone who knows something about your plant will jump in here -- however, I did find that "betel nut" is actually from a palm tree (Areca catechu) that doesn't look anything like what you have. And there is also "Betel Leaf" (Piper betle), a vine that is a member of the pepper family -- but also does not appear to me to be your plant ( http://eol.org/pages/491360/ov... ).

So, I'm afraid I haven't given you much help... sorry!
