It's sad really that so many people feel that the only option is the 'green desert' devoid of life, beauty, nature, or interest. Confused

The standard landscape recipe looks a bit like this:
1.)Plant a few alien ornamental trees.
2.) Add gobs of sterile turf grass.
3.) Mix in a few bubble gum pink roses, lilies or irises devoid of pollen.
4.)Sprinkle with a dash of dyed red cypress mulch.
5.)Spray liberally with Roundup.
6.) Coat well with pesticide.
7.) Add a colorful, cheery bird feeder.
8.) Embellish with plastic butterflies of your choice.
Voilà Enjoy! Lovey dubby
"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird — equal seekers of sweetness. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished." — Mary Oliver, from Messenger
