Take a gallon milk jug and cut it mostly in half at where the waist-band would be (leave one side intact as a hinge). Poke drain holes in bottom.

Fill bottom with pro-mix (or other soiless mix) and no potting soil. Fill December 21st. put a popcicle label inside jug. Duct tape cut closed.

Put outside with top off.

About April 15th start checking for germination, through open top (in zone 6-A).

When most danger of frost has passed cut through hinge and remove top. To harden plants.

Plant.
