Welcome, KYep! Welcome!

Two things come to mind- light and/or water.

Where do you have the pot? Is it in direct sun? Since you are in California, direct sun especially during summer can be too much for a jade. I've found jades are happiest when it's indirect sun. To me, that means: outside- behind a pillar, or under a porch roof, etc.....or indoors they can take light through a window on the leaves.

The other question is, if it's in a pot that is too big? I know you said it drains, but if the pot is too big for the plant, it can still have the effect of overwatering. Try gently lifting the jade out of the pot without disturbing roots, and look at the root ball. The pot size shouldn't be too much wider than the actual root ball. Hard to tell from the angle, but I'm thinking it could be in a 4" pot from the looks of it. (Don't take that as set in stone, just guessing from the current photo.)
