fixpix- I am no expert, not even halfway. But I bought an "Own-root" cutting grown rose from Heirloom roses this year. I had problems with grafted roses, I hated the suckers from below the graft, and sometimes they did not seem too vigorous. Here is a link to Heirloom Roses website where they explain what they do and why. My plant is growing great.
