Will the GBL survive through the winter? The ffoliage will die back. Yes? no?

As I recall--when these clumps were just starting to grow--I thought they were weeds.
I have pictures--need to find date....
SO---I think that if there are 4 clumps I should be able to dig them up. Then again--their roots
are probably all intertwined.
I could let them be--and let Nature take it's course and then dig them up for you by the seed swap.

Here are 2 pictures from June of the "weed'....I would think that each "florette" of new growth is a separate plant?
If it is--then there are several plants. If not--then it is one big bunch.
