Rick, I'm so sorry to hear about your beans, both the water incident and the chipped beans. It sounds like, with the large 'overage' quantity that they gave you, they are still a great place to purchase from. I'm sure that if you dry them over the next several days, you really won't have any issues with the beans. I'm guessing that, just as with daylily seeds and a multitude of other seeds: a few days of drying and they are good to go! Your warning to the bidders is appreciated, but likely not necessary in the grand scheme of things.

I can't make any expert judgments of their damaged seed percentage because I don't typically order/grow bean seeds, but my non-expert opinion would be that 2.4% sounds pretty low and is really good, as long as the price is good. If you were paying $1/bean, that would be a different story, but if it's pennies (or less) per seed, I would say that's not bad at all.
