Sitting here happily reading said Orchid Digest, when I realize that the article Chinese Paphiopedilum jackii and its hybrids deals with an Orchid named also for Jack Fowlie. Was it renamed? Ah, it was a separate species named Paph hiepii and it was reclassified as jackii var. hiepii. However goes the article on, this is now a synonym of Paph jackii. It also used to be the synonym Paph malipoense var hiepii.
