Some of mine are in pots and some in the ground, Ted. They all just 'hang out' through the winter out in the garden and take whatever the weather doles out. The ones in ground peter out after a few years, mainly because of competition from the oak tree roots. The ones in pots come back for years, and are gorgeous.

Took these this morning, flirting with the idea of entering the Caladium Photo contest. But I won a box of bulbs 2 years ago, and never did get them all planted, ended up giving a lot to my neighbor (a win-win as he planted them in his front yard where I get to see them).

Florida Beauty in the shady border - these are some that I won the year before last, and planted in September so they lasted through part of January nicely. They've just started up again this year.
