I love the pigmented scapes of 'Sir Blackstem'. I currently have H. 'Corky', H. dumortieri, and H. 4-9-01 (Olallie), none of which appear to have as much pigment as this cultivar. A definite must-have for the garden as the scape's color adds a unique quality to the landscape and compliments the flowers so well.
You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt. ~Author Unknown
