Welcome to garden.org, Bruce. There are reblooming varieties of lilac. If this is a relatively young bush it could be a "Bloomerang" lilac that re-blooms in late summer.

Here's a link to one in our database. There are two other colors as well, dark purple, and pink. Lilac (Syringa Bloomerang® Purple)
