There's nothing like a reality check from someone growing daylilies from these hybridizers and finding out what really happens in their garden. I bought Green Mystique when it was supposedly having 55 buds per scape. Now I see on the NGS plant data base it is listed at 46 and over. I have had GM for five years and it has never produced anything close to that. I have not done a count, but my guess is maybe 15-20 on a good day. That's why I take a lot of these bud counts with a grain of salt, if not outright disbelief, at least as to what the plant would do here in our garden.
