And now I'm starting my new Prayer Garden!

Looking from the bottom of the hill the gray hose is the perimeter of the entire area. The green hose is where the split rail fence will be and everything from there down to the bottom gray hose will be veggie garden. I'm going to concentrate on tomatoes, cucumbers, and green beans. Not looking to can or freeze, been there done that, just fresh for us and for my daughter and her family.

This is from the top of the yard looking down and shows a better view of where the prayer flower garden will go. I have planted the Eastern Redbud Tree on the right with the lonely little garden bench nodding nodding , and the purple butterfly bush on the left. The green hose is where the fence will go and the veggies behind.

And on the totally opposite side, my lonely little butterfly bush!

I want to fill the back flowers with Orienpet Lillies (already ordered!), Russian Sage, Butterfly Milkweed, Coneflowers (white and purple), spiritually named daylilies (I already have some to move and some ordered!) and hostas (under the tree when there is more shade), Asiatic lilies, a stone path from the bench to the yard, a flowering bush in the front corner in front of the tree, and a flowering border of some sort - thinking of yellow coreopsis or maybe even some creeping flocks. The perennials will tie in with other areas in the back yard for plants and color. I was going to put a shrub rose in the area in front of the tree but after this fiasco I'm rethinking that!!!!! I need a flowering bush of some sort that doesn't get too tall. Any suggestions for Zone 5b are welcome nodding nodding nodding If anyone has any ideas for any spiritually named bushes or flowers I would love to hear them! I also have some stepping stones I want to add. I love lots of color and want to also encourage butterflies and birds! Hurray! Hurray! And now the fun begins!! nodding nodding nodding nodding Whistling Whistling Whistling
