I have a small bed under the drippings from two floors of air conditioners. I just created it 5-6 weeks ago. I planted a fern, a couple of foamflowers, impatiens, several columbine, and a handful of small annual fillers. I would like to eventually have the perrenials take over and only have to weed. I also had tbe spread of seasons in mind for pollinators. Usually, the hardest to plan for are the very early and very late flowers. The southern exposure bed is between to 3-floor buildings. The space is roughly 15 feet between them. So, depending on day/time of year, it gets decent light but sometimes depending on season and time of day, maybe not direct sun. I would like to add bulbs to the mix. Are there any which tolerate damp feet? Any I can plant now? Would like early-flowering species which could be played out early when other things are starting to come into bloom. Thoughts?
Always looking for interesting plants for pollinators and food! Bonus points for highly, and pleasantly scented plants.
