~~~I love to wander the aisles of any local hardware stores, large or small ... you never know what you might spot to use in decorating the yard and garden.

~~~Also, farm supply stores like Rural King and Tractor Supply (the two we have here) always have lots of interesting things. One thing they have a lot of is miniatures (especially animals) and smaller kid-sized items which are often useful for turning into yard and garden art. I also like their metal and aluminum farm items such as animal feeding and watering troughs which come in various sizes and make great inexpensive raised container gardens and/or small water gardens. They have things like small windmills and so forth too. Often much cheaper than specialty stores.
