Oh my Yes it did - that was 'Hagley Hybrid' and it was lovely in the Spring, but as the temps got warmer and hotter, the flowers faded and eventually stopped. I don't think Clematis like heat or the sun. Most of mine (18 of them) have not done well in direct sunshine or heat at all.
