Rita, I've never grown Delicata but I'm sure you could grow it vertically; it would probably go to the top and back down again, I think pretty much every gourd and squash that I've grown on my "hoop trellis" has done that.

Lots of dry beans shell out very easily -- but there are some that have pods that kind of shrink-wrap the seeds and those are a real pain!
