Someone chucked this "dead" potted shrub near a trash can in the Walmart parking lot. After checking for ants I brought it home. It is slowly coming to life. Any idea what it might be? Thank You!

It looked like dead sticks, then the leaves started growing - they were small/wrinkly/shrivelled looking at first.
