>>>"English Peas, those little green, china balls that they make split pea soup out of, plus sugar snap peas, and snow peas."

Must be a Texas thing then cus around here "green peas" are "garden peas" or "English peas". The ones that need shelling

Sugar snaps are "sugar snaps". Eat the pod and all.
Snow peas are "snow pea". Harvested when pods are flat and no peas are filling out yet.

Neither would be called green peas. Lordy, folks around here would be in an uproar if someone brought home the latter two when the cook wanted the first one. :>)

I guess ya'll go by the color of the pod and not the other factors, eh?

Now about those cream peas and kidney beans...I like 'em both! Do you fix them together in the same pot?

Shoe (Don't worry folks, kidney beans are beans and not a southern pea nor a green pea. We're just getting excited here talking about food!)
