It's very much worth it. I would just shop around online because it's a lot cheaper online than in the big box stores. If you live an area where everyone's house is close to each other you may want to urge neighbors to join in your efforts to control them. If the community jumps on broad you'll notice a huge difference. With that said their strong flying abilities enable adult beetles to infest areas several miles away from where they emerge from soil. Most typically however they fly short distances between feeding and egg-laying areas. Just treating your property with milky spore won’t insure you against beetles flying from the surrounding areas not treated but it does help a lot.
