. Annabelle Hydrangea, Daisies, Coneflower and ornamental grasses were some of my favorite pairings, along with backdrops of bushes and shrubs. I added the daylilies after everything else was there and tried to make the colors pop in front of white backgrounds when possible. I also had Baptisia, Allium, Russian Sage, Spiderwort and in one a Porcelain Vine and Annabelle in the mix. Since I didn't find out about the wonderful colors or daylilies until after I had the backdrop, I tried to pop them in not only where I had room, but where I would really notice them:
