Welcome to the start of the blooming of the Southern Hemisphere where, we of the other side of the world show our booming blooms in Season 2016-2017.

My first has flowered today on the last day of August. Spring is next month although you mightn't notice: we don't seem to have a winter anymore.

This is PURPLE RIOT's first ever bloom for me. It is one of the Australian Nunan's cultivars. It hasn't opened fully yet in the overcast conditions. But I thought I would let you see it first before the cockatoos do.

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
