Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!
I talked to a guy at the utility company today and told him my issue and he was awesome! Pretty much told me just to be careful and not too far down or too aggressively, but definitely don't cancel my plans for a garden. That as long as i'm not using power tools and am aware of where I'm digging, it shouldn't be a problem! And apparently because my house was built in the 80s, he thinks the lines are 3-4 feet below ground! I can't believe it! It must be all the good vibes you all are sending because I was expecting the worst for sure! I asked if the city could rip up the yard to get at the lines and he said that legally they can, but the chances are slim to none that they actually will.
Project back on!! Woo Hoo!! To celebrate, I bought myself some yellow and orange fritillaria imperalis (are all flower names this difficult to spell?!) from Costco. I didn't even know they sold plants there!!
