I confess that I have off and on thought about doing whatever is required to have this garden certified for legal shipping, but the whole process just seems to be daunting (and that's even if I never actually sell anything, which requires tons more paperwork and permits and fees). I can just imagine any plant inspector who set foot onto our property (after he recovered from getting "greeted" by our dog).

"Hmm... I see that you have slugs... and snails.... and a lot of that weed there. Lots of ants. Leaf spot on the irises.... aphids too.... That looks like some kind of grasshopper or locust over there - unusual for this area. Some leaf streak or something going on with these daylilies here, and is that rust over there on those daylilies?! And you want permission to ship your plants WHERE?!?"

Right... Rolling my eyes.
